European Support Sites

välkommen, welcome, willkommen, welkom, bienvenue, bienvenida, benvenuto!

ATTENTION!

Since 25-05-2010 has BookCrossing.com changed his look :)
The reason is, that a new Era for BookCrossing has begun. Besides the more actuall look, BookCrossing will start to speak different languages, which may not be already present, but a lot of volunteers are working behind the scenes to get this ready. Also, some feature the "old" BookCrossing had, may not yet be activated in the "new" BookCrossing - but will be soon.

This change has an impact on the German Support Site, as several links may go wild, and of course, the german step-by-step-manuals do not fit the new layout anymore (those will not be adapted anymore, as the new pages will speak german anyway)
Nevertheless, the German Supportsite will also realign in the next few weeks.

NEWSFLASH!!

First of all: this site has no intention to replace the great (and first in Europe at all!) European BookCrossing Support Page, maintained by marcoweb64.

The target is, to collect the existing information in Europe (and not only European Union!) about BookCrossing and to link to them. Due of the many spoken languages in Europe, this site will remain in english, as the supporting pages themself will be in the desired language - if they exist, of course. If, by accident, you don't know how your country is spelled in english, just try the the countries index page, where you'll find a clickable map of Europe, a list of flags and even an alfabetical list.

As you will see, the country pages are divided in sections. If the information in a specific section does not exist (or that I'm not aware of) in a particular country, n/a will be set. Otherwise, you'll find the appropriate information, mostly a hyperlink to the destination. You'll be warned, when you're leaving this support site ;)

I've tried to collect as much as information as possible for each country. But this does not mean, that all information will be showed over here. e.g. if a country has well build supportsites (yes, some countries even have more than one!) "lonely" pages dedicated to BookCrossing will not be added. On the other side, if a country has no information at all, such "lonely" pages could be the first link...

Due of the fact that Europe is big, I surely missed some information in certain countries out there. So if you know about existing support sites, pages, mailing lists, etc. which could be added to this site, just send me the information with link via Feedback. And I'll see, what I can do *veg*

So, I hope, this site will be a help to the BookCrossing-Community in Europe.

Have fun,
Wyando.
